Commence your adventure with an early 5 am departure from your Cusco hotel. Our private van will transport you to Tinke, and then to Upis town (4,226 m / 13,864 ft) over a 3-hour journey, marking the commencement of your extraordinary experience.
In Upis, our seasoned Mountain Guide will introduce the trekking team, including the Cook and Horsedriver. After a nourishing breakfast in Upis, embark on a 3-hour Peruvian flat trek to the picturesque Huayna Ausangate Lake. Set up camp amid breathtaking panoramas, enjoy a delectable lunch, and have leisure time to explore the Huayna Ausangate lagoon. Unwind in the Upis hot springs, savoring hot beverages and a delectable dinner. Retire to your tent for a night under the starlit sky.
Awaken to a cup of invigorating coca tea or coffee, setting the tone for the day. Following a hearty breakfast, embark on a captivating journey through the Andean landscapes. Trek for 2.5 hours to reach the majestic Arapa Pass (4,800 m / 15,748 ft), revealing a panorama of vibrant lakes and mountains.
Descend and traverse the captivating terrain to reach Pukacocha lake, a journey of 1.5 hours. This idyllic spot serves as our lunch destination and camping site. After a delectable lunch, enjoy leisure time, exploring the lake’s enchanting beauty. Delight in hot beverages during “Happy Hour” before dinner, and relish the serenity of camping beneath the starry expanse.
Embark on a memorable day of exploration after a satisfying breakfast. Traverse the iconic AusangateCocha Lake and ascend to the Palomani Pass (5,200 m / 17,060 ft) for 2 hours, reveling in panoramic views that include a mini-rainbow mountain and the captivating Red Lake. Your knowledgeable Guide will illuminate the natural formations of these colorful landscapes.
Descend for 1.5 hours to the welcoming Huchuy Phinaya community (4,650 m / 15,256 ft) for lunch. Continue onward to Sorapata (4,700 m / 15,420 ft), your overnight campsite. Delight in the company of llamas and alpacas while soaking in the mesmerizing Andean vistas. Dinner and rest at Sorapata as you prepare for the day ahead.
Greet the day with a cup of coca tea or coffee, embarking on an invigorating journey. Ascend to the Jampa Pass (5,070 m / 16,634 ft) over 2.5 hours, treated to panoramic vistas of majestic glaciers.
Descend for 3 hours, passing by OtorongoCocha and Qomercocha Lakes before reaching the charming Pacchanta. Luxuriate in the soothing hot springs, replenishing your spirit after days of trekking. Dinner and an overnight stay in Pacchanta, enveloped in natural tranquility.
Savor a hearty breakfast, embarking on the final day of your trek. Traverse for 3 hours through Andean communities, witnessing locals crafting textiles with natural dyes and alpaca wool.
Lunch in Tinke marks the culmination of your journey. Bid farewell to the trekking team before being transferred back to your Cusco hotel, concluding this extraordinary adventure.
