For this tour to Lake Humantay , we will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning, at 4 am, and embark on a beautiful 2-hour panoramic drive to Mollepata. In Mollepata, we’ll have breakfast at one of the local houses. After breakfast, we’ll continue our journey for 1 hour until we reach Soraypampa, the starting point of the hike. During this part of the trip, we’ll catch our first glimpses of the magnificent Salkantay and Humantay mountains, as well as observe lush vegetation and fields where local families cultivate potatoes, quinoa, beans, etc.

At Soraypampa (3,900 m/12,795 ft), we begin our hike with a visit to the remarkable high-altitude lake, Humantay, at 4,200 m/13,779 ft. It lies directly beneath the Humantay Glacier and is notably turquoise. This is an extraordinary 2.5-hour uphill excursion. After that expedition, we return to the trailhead and have lunch in Mollepata. Return to Cusco around 5 pm.
